University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides computer technical expertise, technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of computer systems; used for financial, clinical and/or administrative systems. Organizes and schedules a variety of computer system tasks in a timely and proficient manner and in compliance with departmental and University Health System policies and procedures. An individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UH staff and perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UH policies and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Two years of college level work toward a degree in computer science or data processing or the equivalent in experience or training is required. A Bachelor's degree in one of the above areas is preferred. Minimum four-year's experience in a related field is preferred. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. Work experience required, using one or more of each of the following:
Applications: PeopleSoft, Lawson or any ERP system, IDX, Softmed, 3m, Onbase, Portal, Cerner Lab, Cerner Pharmacy, RIS, Eclipsys, Quavodex, MS Office, Crystal, HIM, TCP/IP, FTP
Languages: ASP/ Web development, Business Objects, Crystal, Visual Basic, SQL, C++, Mumps
Databases: Microsoft SQL, Sybase, Oracle
Operating Systems: Windows 2003, Windows Data Center, XP, Unix, Cache
