Computerized Tomography Technologist III
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. Makes independent value judgments when supervision is not available. Assumes responsibility for achieving quality work, setting up patient load and maintaining schedules. Has individual responsibility for ensuring that all CT procedures are performed in a timely manner in the absence of the senior technologist. Performs assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Complies with instructions from the senior CT technologist. Maintains good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health employees, patients, doctors, and guests. Supports University Health's policies, values and guest relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Radiology or equivalent is required. Registry by the American Registry of Radiology Technology in Radiology and Computerized Axial Tomography, ARRT-(R) (CT) and License by the State of Texas (CMRT) are required. Three years as a CT Technologist and one year experience in a supervisory capacity is required. Must meet six criteria in the clinical ladder for this position.
