PPS Coordinator/Rehab Clinical Liaison
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform expert skills in elements related to the Prospective Payment System in Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Responsible for the organization, analysis and data entry of patient information for transmission to Medicare Intermediary. Provides consultation and training for all rehabilitation healthcare providers in the accurate assessment of functional measures scoring during preadmission, post admission and discharge. Works collaboratively with all rehabilitation healthcare and non-health care providers. Identifies and coordinates quality and process improvement projects. Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff. Receives mentoring from Administrative Director, Rehabilitation Medicine EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in health-related therapy field is required; Master’s Degree in therapy related field is preferred. A minimum of five years recent, inpatient rehabilitation experience required. Experience in leading quality improvement projects and lean management is preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current licensure in therapy-related healthcare field (PT/OT/SLP). Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card required
