Radiologic Technologist III
Detention Health Care SvcsPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs radiological procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and within the policy and procedure specifications of the University Health. Assumes responsibilities and duties for senior staff, in their absence, for designated areas and assures procedures are performed promptly and efficiently. Manages assigned staff personnel, and when appropriate provides effective administrative and technical guidance and direction. Complies with instructions from the supervisor to whom responsible. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Promotes University Health's guest relation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and hold Texas Medical Board (MRT) Certification. Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is required. Must have one or more years of service as a registered Technologist II. Three to five years of experience plus practical knowledge of managerial or supervisory skills is preferred. For technologists working in Ambulatory clinic setting, must have two or more years service as a registered staff technologist II or three years as a registered radiology technologist, and one year as a registered staff technologist II is required. Additionally, must meet the required competencies for the Radiology Technologist III.
