Radiology Technologist II - (PRN)
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs radiologic procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and within the policy and procedure specifications of the University Health independently. Assumes responsibilities for senior staff, in their absence, for designated areas and assures procedures are performed promptly and efficiently. Manages assigned staff personnel, when appropriate and provides effective administrative and technical guidance and direction. Complies with instructions from the supervisor to whom responsible. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Promotes the Health System's guest relation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification, and hold current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association. One year experience as a registered staff technologist is required. Two years experience as a registered technologist plus practical knowledge of managerial or supervisory skills is preferred. For technologists working in Ambulatory clinic setting, three years experience as a registered staff technologist or one year as a registered technologist, and two years as a registered staff technologist is required. Additionally, must meet the required competencies for the radiology technologist II.
