Assistant Director, IT Service Delivery
Tech CenterPOSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of IT services for University Health which consists of Help Desk, Field Engineering, Network Operations Center, Data Center Engineering, and end user procurement. Primary focus is on the service and delivery of technological solutions that are aligned with the critical business processes of the University Health. This position is responsible for the coordinated management of interdependent and extremely complex projects over a finite period of time in order to support and achieve the strategic goals of University Health. Collaborate with IT partners to identify strategic technology solutions to meet their objectives and goals. Manage the delivery of IT solutions to align with the overall business strategy. Assemble and manage cross functional teams for project execution. Oversee all Service Delivery related projects and project budgets. Ensure licensing, maintenance and service agreements are accurate and in force. Manages the activities of all assigned staff. Maintains a budget for the associated cost centers to include compensation, supplies, software, and hardware. Organizes and schedules a variety of major and/or complex tasks for the Service Delivery staff in a timely and proficient manner. Promotes the University Health Customer Relation’s policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field plus eight (8) years of information systems experience, four (4) of which are in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required OR Twelve (12) years of related experience with four (4) years in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required. Must be proficient in planning/implementation/administration of service delivery systems. Should have expertise with Help Desk, Field Engineering and other IT customer service areas. Must have a strong understanding of ITIL concepts. Windows experience on workstation configurations is also required. Must have experience leading technical groups in choosing and implementing the best technical solutions available on the market for workstation software, workstation hardware, and computer imaging products.
