Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as a Hospital-Based Services resource to coordinate the development, enhancement and execution of complex projects and execute financial analysis. Responsible for performing analysis and documenting business requirements as well as current state and future state business processes. Researchs best practices, compiles information and assists process owners to implement change and monitor performance.  Responsible for providing project coordination through research, data collection and analysis. Interacts extensively with Hospital Base Services, UMA Hospitalists, Anesthesiology group, etc. Helps ensure project management processes and reporting allows the Hospital Based Services team to complete projects timely.  A personal commitment to treat all Health System customers with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism and adherence to the University Health Commitment to Service Excellence behaviors and standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business, Health Care Administration or another related field.  Two or more years’ experience as a business analyst in a managed care/health plan environment or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, is required.
