Corporate and Foundation Giving Officer

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports development, management and implementation of overall fundraising strategy for corporate and foundation giving, including grants. Responsible for identification, coordination, solicitation and stewardship of a designated portfolio of current and prospective public, private and corporate foundations. Leads and supports grant writing efforts to secure catalytic and sustainable funding for programs and projects. Writes and submits grant proposals and reports, provides program development support, develops and maintains strong relationships with institutional donors and internal partners. Conducts prospect research, plans and implements site visits and face-to-face meetings, and communicates with funders as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field required. Requires 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing/sales or related field, with demonstrated progressive responsibility and success.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.  Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with donors of all levels, volunteers, community leaders, corporate and foundation representatives, physicians and University Health leadership.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple projects and effectively manage and set priorities. Strong analytical and planning skills. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products. Experience in Virtuous a plus.
