Director, ECMO Advanced Technologies
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the operation of the assigned components of the ECMO/Advanced Technologies program including planning, implementing, monitoring, education, training and improving the quality of services; overseeing the day-to-day operations, and maintain fiscal accountability. Promotes the University Health Customer Relation’s policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited academic clinical program. Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of two years management/administrative experience in a health care setting preferred; minimum of two years experience as a clinical ECMO specialist in a neonatal, cardiac, and/or pediatric care setting is required. Previous experience as an ECMO Coordinator preferred. Must maintain current CPR, PALs, ACLS and University Hospital ECMO specialist certification.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner, and/or certified clinical perfusionist in the State of Texas.
