Robert B Green CampusPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Drivers are responsible for the safe operation and the maintenance of motor vehicles used in transporting patients, passengers, lab work, supplies and equipment. This includes the driving of an assigned motor vehicle in accordance with the University Health's driver policy, State, City or other applicable statutory safety regulation codes, and performing proper loading and unloading, handling, transport, delivery of patients, passengers, lab work, supplies, or equipment to their proper destination.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. The ability to speak and understand English is also required. The ability to speak and understand Spanish is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years' experience operating a commercial vehicle or bus is required. A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a licensed driver is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State CDL operator’s license is “Class B (with air brake endorsement)” or “Class A” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
