Executive Director, Revenue Cycle
Business CenterPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for strategic direction, oversight and integrity of all Revenue Cycle technology and systems solution design functions throughout University Health’s integrated healthcare delivery system. A strategic partner with the executive leaders. Manages a team of performance improvement specialists with a focus on production support, issue resolution, project management and implementation. Provide oversight and project management for operational team. A focus on development and maintaining role-based training for clinical and revenue cycle areas, workflow and process integration including capturing design solutions and project implementation. Provides strategic and tactical direction to IT for all aspects of revenue cycle. As system expert, acts as design lead and thought partner for key technology initiatives. Excellent conflict-resolution skills. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with leaders at medical centers, physicians and employees. Collaborative problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to analyze and communicate complex and diverse regulatory and operational issues. Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, Health Information Management, Business, clinical or financial studies or related field required OR Master's degree in healthcare technology management or a related field preferred. Six years’ experience in financial and/or medical analysis with a minimum of three years of health care, business or IT experience required. Five years’ experience developing role base training material and conducting role based training. Must be able to demonstrate a history of success in the following areas: Leading large scale change efforts. In-depth, detailed knowledge of patient and business services and excellent knowledge of the inpatient and ambulatory processes within health care organizations. Health care industry experience required. Effective analytical skills are required.
