POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, responsible for the planning, assigning, and leadership of staff electricians and helpers that are providing installations, maintenance, and service of UH electrical systems. Schedule all projects and complete all paperwork needed for the jobs. Randomly inspects ongoing and completed repairs of electrical equipment for compliance with building and safety codes throughout the UH system. Complete all payroll paperwork and PTO request. Have weekly huddles with team. Set up training for all new equipment and in services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The ability to speak, read, and write English, make simple calculations, and follow simple written and oral directions is required. High school graduation or equivalent is required. Licensing as a Master Electrician from the City of San Antonio or Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is preferred. An associate degree in a related field is preferred. Two years recent experience with one year as an electrical supervisor is required. Previous experience gained in a large hospital environment is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge with equipment maintenance gained through actual field work. Must have extensive understanding of safety practices, state and local electrical codes, electrical circuits, motors, switches and switching gear.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record. Licensing as a Master Electrician from the City of San Antonio or Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is preferred.
