Occupational Therapist II
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, implements, and evaluates professionally competent, comprehensive individual and group treatment programs for all medically referred patients. Participates and initiates educational, administrative, managerial, and quality control duties. Performs professionally competent occupational therapy treatment programs and related documentation on all assigned patient programs efficiently and timely. Participates with other members of the health care team to achieve maximum patient benefit and efficiency. Participates in and contributes to educational programs. Serves as a Clinical Instructor for various levels of occupational therapist and/or occupational therapy assistant students as assigned. Assists with supervision and evaluation of assigned staff or volunteers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist is required. Supervisory and/or clinical teaching and additional clinical experience is preferred. Meets clinical and leadership activities and behaviors as defined in the clinical ladder or equivalent.
LICENSURE
Licensure by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as an Occupational Therapist is required. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
