Patient Access Services Manager
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the quality and production of the access and registration functions of the Admissions and Registration departments. Plans and implement methods to improve work procedures, processes and staff needs. Assists in the preparation and administration of departmental budgets. Implements projects and activities to achieve goals established in the short-term and long-term plans of the respective department. Coordinates and communicates Health System changes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or equivalent experience is required. Working knowledge of insurance, third party payer options, hospital admissions, billing processes for the inpatient and outpatient services are required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
