Payroll Manager
Business CenterPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and supports the daily activities of the payroll department and staff. Oversees the daily, monthly, and annual processing of company payroll to include UHS, UMA, and CFHP. Performs tasks related to the biweekly payroll closing cycle, quarterly/annual reporting, and W-2 processing. Ensures accurate calculation and reconciliation of wages, tax withholdings, garnishments, and company deductions. Prepares statistical reports on employee pay, bonuses, vacation, sick time, LOA, workers' compensation, and taxes/withholdings, etc. Performs other duties related to the maintenance of an efficient payroll system, including the analysis of payroll processing and recommended improvements. Researches and responds to payroll questions in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Personnel, Business, Health Care Management, Accounting, or Human Resources is required. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or four to six (6) years of varied payroll and time collection experience, including three (3) years' supervisory experience, is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and an ability to understand applicable policies and practices is required.
