Print Production Lead
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual is responsible for printing all envelopes, letterhead and carbonless forms used throughout health system. Daily downloads job requests from online ordering system. Operates offset printing press and envelope printers to produce high quality offset printed color and black/white materials for University Health. Creates offset plates to produce large quantities of carbonless forms. Weekly prints high volume of various invoicing envelopes. Prints and burns CDs/DVs upon request.
Supervises bindery tech/contract employees and assists in finishing jobs when necessary. Assumes bindery duties such as cutting, folding, drilling, padding, laminating and mailing jobs out when bindery tech is on leave.
Assists internal customers in setting up new online ordering accounts and answers customer ordering questions. Researches job order status and responds when contacted by customers.
Uses positive, effective interpersonal communication skills and responds to inquiries and concerns both verbal and written in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or GED is required. Two years of offset press, copying and bindery equipment experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Acrobat Pro is preferred. Must be able to upgrade knowledge base and stay current with latest operating software for all equipment. A year of supervisory experience is preferred.
