Robert B Green CampusPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Director to manage the operations, growth and programmatic efforts of the Family Engagement program. Coordinates and delivers Parent Café events and other early childhood initiatives to patients and the community. Oversees family outreach and education. Collaborates with staff from other University Health departments and child healthcare providers. Implements initiatives using health education and community engagement methods and techniques that are developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive in order to achieve program objectives. Develops, coordinates and/or participates in presentations, health fairs, community events, conferences, wellness programs and other appropriate venues.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in community health, early childhood development, health education or similar degree plan is required. Experience with public speaking and/or teaching, individually or in groups is required. Experience working with families is required. Experience in community health promotion, early childhood education, community partnership development, volunteer activity coordination, or family engagement in a community health setting is preferred. English/Spanish fluency required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas Driver’s License “Class C” is required and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
