Senior Vice President, Perioperative Services

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Vice President of Perioperative provides executive leadership and strategic vision to develop and operationalize standard processes related to perioperative services across the organization. Leads management in the Perioperative and procedural service-lines and advises medical staff, department heads and administrators in matters related to perioperative services, strategies, and operations. Responsible for ensuring standardization and reducing clinical variation, where possible, to ensure high quality care and services, compliance with regulatory standards and requirements, and improve operations and efficiencies. Leads and facilitates business planning processes and creative strategies for new program development to drive growth and lower costs while maintaining or enhancing quality, including capital planning and projects across the organization. Provides innovative thinking and strategies for new initiatives to improve overall service line performance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration is required. Ten years’ experience in nursing with at least five years of progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience is required. Knowledge and experience with a Level I trauma center program with 20 plus operating suites is strongly preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas is required.
