The Position:

As a member of the digital marketing team, the Web Specialist is responsible for the usability and maintenance of our websites by overseeing day-to-day web operations, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate, and visually appealing. Serves as the primary point of contact for urgent website updates, ensuring timely completion. The primary responsibilities will include executing website updates in a timely manner, troubleshoot site-related issues, monitor website analytics to provide data-driven recommendations, and conduct quality assurance reviews.

Duties:

Website Management & Optimization

• Oversee the daily operations of our web properties, ensuring optimal performance, exceptional user experience and content is up-to-date.
• Serve as the lead for urgent and timely website updates, efficiently turning them around while keeping planned initiatives on track.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update website content, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines.
• Customize web page layouts using modules, ensuring an appealing, engaging and functional user experience.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure there are no misspellings or broken links.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, coordinating with developers as needed.
• Contributes to cross-departmental and divisional projects and initiatives.
• Execute digital marketing strategies to enhance user experience and engagement across our website properties.
• Stay current on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements to continuously enhance website usability and effectiveness.
• Support the digital marketing team in identifying ways to improve the digital patient experience by enhancing our website.
• Work in collaboration with project manager and requestor on projects to ensure timely completion.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor website analytics and performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvements related to website design and content strategy.
• Monitor internal site search to identify popular search terms, common queries, and any search-related issues to enhance content strategy and improve site navigation.
• Identify factors that may be impacting website speed and performance, such as large images, excessive scripts, or inefficient coding.
• Identify patterns in user behavior to pinpoint areas of friction, drop-off points, and opportunities for optimization.
• Produces and presents monthly dashboard reporting on website performance to the Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Communications & Corporate Affairs Officer.

Manage external email communication as needed by creating and distributing emails, including digital invitations and newsletters, to various external audiences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, information technology, data processing or related field required. Thorough understanding of website management, CSS, templates, browsers and navigational concepts preferred. Experience with keyword and topic research is required. Must have experience with SEO industry platforms, such as Siteimprove, Conductor, SEMrush or similar platforms. Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or similar graphics development tools is preferred.
