POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides advanced technical and clerical skills related to the creation and maintenance of multiple databases for the purpose of tracking and data collection of Utilization Management, Case Management and Disease Management activities. Displays proficiency and knowledge of all facets of the Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of higher-end database design. Able to provide technical support and recommendations to HSM Senior Staff relative to enhancing the unit function through appropriate data collection and report generation. Provides technical and administrative support to the UM/CM denials and appeals process. Performs duties and assignments promptly and efficiently. Complies with Health System, CFHP and area policies, procedures and protocols for establishing and maintaining good working relationships with co-workers and Health System employees, patients and guests.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or equivalent experience is required. College work toward a degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, or Business Management is preferred. Three years experience in responsible administrative/data collection position is required. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate software applications is required. Five plus years comparable position experience in a hospital or health care environment is preferred. Experience with healthcare application systems is desirable.
