Family Medicine / Internal Medicine (Primary Care)

Summary

• 100% outpatient

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no weekends)

• Four-day work week (10-hour shifts) available in some practice locations

• Very light call (by phone only 3 to 4 times per year)

• We encourage a practice that supports your passions. As long as there is a need for the specific service or procedure, we encourage and support a practice tailored to your skills and interests. Examples include office procedures, OMM, weight management, prenatal care and non-surgical sports medicine.

 

Family Medicine - Detention Health

Summary

• Scheduling/practice environment that fosters a great work life balance

• Monday-Friday schedule with flexible hours

• No billing requirement

• No secure health messaging requirement

• No paperwork(FMLA, DME, etc)

• Medical coverage on site 24/7

• Safer environment in comparison to walk-in clinics/ER due to rules and regulations

Pediatrics

Summary

• 100% outpatient

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no weekends)

• Very light call (by phone only 3 to 4 times per year)

Specialty Care Opportunities

Anesthesiologist

Summary

• Employed (W2) position

• Monday–Friday work schedule with some weekend call (2nd call)

• 2nd Call only for an average of 1:6. No in-house call. There is a CRNA on-site and a CRNA on 1st call.

• Coverage of advanced diagnostic center, ambulatory surgery centers and daylight hospital coverage.

• Functions as a consultant to CRNAs (100% case delegation). Completes chart checks, clears patients for anesthesia and collaborates with specialists.

• Opportunity to participate in the UMA Anesthesiology Program, which utilizes the delegation of privileges model.

 

Dermatologist

Summary

• Great schedule – No evenings or weekends

• Average patients per day expectation (8-hour day) = 20

• Practice out of one primary clinic location

• Strong internal referral system from 80+ PCPs and 32+ clinical sites

• Ability to practice full scope of dermatology

• Opportunity to help leadership establish service line

• Opportunity to teach medical students and residents

 

Endocrinologist

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Texas Medical License, completion

• ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Internal Medicine followed by completion of an approved fellowship in Endocrinology

• Board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology

EP/Electrophysiologist

Summary

• Mixture of inpatient and outpatient work.

• The primary work schedule is Monday–Friday except when on call.

• Shared call

• Opportunity to teach medical students and residents/fellows.

 

Outpatient General Radiologist

Summary

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no evenings or weekends)

• No call

• MRI/CT/musculoskeletal/plain films

• Practice out of one primary clinic location

 

Outpatient Hematology/Oncology

Summary

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no weekends)

• General hematology and oncology

• Opportunity to help establish the hematology/oncology service line

• Strong internal referral system from 80+ PCPs

• One clinic location (100% outpatient) opportunity to work inpatient if desired

• No inpatient rounding – light phone consults

• Subspecialty support includes radiology and surgical oncologists that are associated with MD Anderson

 

Outpatient Neurologist

Summary

• General neurology practice (100% outpatient with the ability to incorporate procedures)

• Opportunity for flexible schedule (four-day workweek)

• Practice out of one primary clinic location

• One experienced full-time general neurologist currently on staff

• Strong internal referral system from 80+ PCPs

• No inpatient rounding - light phone consult only

 

Outpatient Cardiologist

Summary

• Outpatient clinical practice, Monday-Friday

• Up to four-six weeks of inpatient rounding (not assigned to clinic that week) with occasional weekend calls

• Specific areas of interest supported: cardio metabolic/prevention, women's cardiovascular health, vascular medicine and/or advanced cardiac imaging (ECHO, CT, MRI, Nuclear, PET).

• Opportunity to teach medical students and residents/fellows.

 

Outpatient Rheumatologist

Summary

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no evenings or weekends)

• General rheumatology practice (100% outpatient with the ability to incorporate procedures)

• Practice out of one primary clinic location

• One full-time rheumatologist currently on staff

• Strong internal referral system from 80+ PCPs

 

Outpatient Urologist

Summary

• Monday–Friday work schedule (no evenings or weekends)

• General urology practice (100% outpatient) – clinic days and procedure days (procedures performed at University Hospital or ASC)

• Practice out of one primary clinic location

• Strong internal referral system from 80+ PCPs

• Opportunity to help leadership establish an outpatient urology service line

• Da Vinci XI Robot surgical system

 

OB/GYN Physician - Outpatient ONLY

Summary

• Outpatient practice, Monday–Friday work schedule

• No weekends

• No call

• No holidays

• Outpatient clinic plus surgeries performed at University Health Advance Surgery Center

 

Outpatient Urogynecologist

Summary

• Outpatient practice, Monday–Friday work schedule (no evenings or weekends)

• Start out with 4 days clinic/1 procedure day per week then transition to 3 days clinic/2 procedure days per week depending on volume

 

Outpatient Allergist

Summary

• Outpatient practice, Monday–Friday work schedule (no weekends)

• No call

• 16-19 average patients per day

• Established practice with full-time physician and advanced practice provider. Well experienced and knowledgeable of allergic and immunologic conditions.

• Robust shot clinic

• Full age spectrum, Adults 60%/Pediatrics 40%

• In-office rhinoscope and spirometry

• Dedicated pharmacy liaison

• Dedicated staff with robust experience in allergy

• In-office immunotherapy mixing

• Single clinic with potential for growth

• Advanced AI dictation software as well as Dragon for assistance with documentation

 

Pediatric ENT (Otolaryngologist)

Summary

• Outpatient practice plus some inpatient call responsibility

• Currently 5 days of call per month

• Average of 20 patients per day

• Surgeries conducted in a child-friendly ASC (lower acuity) and Women's & Children's Hospital (complex cases)

• Audiology and APP support

• Large primary care referral base

• Collaboration with academic partners

• Beautiful outpatient clinic located within large, upscale residential area

• Serve commercial, Medicaid, and CHIP populations

• Epic EMR with AI documentation capabilities across the inpatient and outpatient settings

• Cardiac program with a strong PICU, PCCU and NICU

• Interdisciplinary clinics include a vascular anomalies clinic, an accredited cranial facial clinic and a pending aero-digestive clinic

• Video laryngology, several new ear microscopes, camera, ultrasound, Botox intervention supported

 

Inpatient Care Opportunities

Hospitalist

Summary

• Practice location at University Hospital

• Board-certified or board-eligible family medicine or internal medicine physicians

• Schedule consists of 7 days on followed by 7 days off

• 12-hour shift or swing shift available (typical schedule is 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. or noon – 12 a.m.)

• Opportunity to train internal medicine residents
