Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative support to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer (COO) for University Health. Will be responsible for the preparation of correspondence, coordinating travel arrangements, presentations, and collecting and disseminating detail reports. The Executive Assistant will communicate directly with stakeholders on behalf of the COO and perform other special projects as needed. Absolute discretion dealing with confidential and sensitive information will be required. Interacts with employees at all levels of the organization, physicians, patients, Board members, public officials, and members of the community-at-large.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, management or related field is preferred. A minimum of three years office, administrative support experience supporting high-level executives. Experience in healthcare industry and/or local government environment is preferred. Prior experience managing activities for a Board of Mangers/Directors or senior executives is highly desirable.
