POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for general administration and oversight of University Health pathology services at all ambulatory facilities. Promotes the University Health Customer Relation’s policy.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university is required. Five years of related, progressively responsible health care experience is required. Successful completion of a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved) and certification in clinical laboratory sciences by a recognized certifying agency or completion of accredited structured clinical program and certification by a recognized certifying agency prior to 1963 or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university and a clinical laboratory specialist certification is required. Master’s degree in Business or Health Care Administration is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) or United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) is required.
