POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Patient Access, the Director is responsible for the process and day-to-day management of admissions and patient registration locations at the University Health Palo Alto Hospital. Comprehensive knowledge in Patient Access functions with a results both oriented and patient-centered focus. Supports the strategic vision of the organization. A personal commitment to treat all Health System customers with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism and adherence to the University Health System Commitment to Service Excellence behaviors and standards. Promotes the University Health Customer Relation's policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care/Hospital Management or equivalent experience is required. Working knowledge of insurance and third party payer options and benefits is preferred. Four years supervisory experience in health care/hospital setting is preferred. Experience in a Health System's ADT is preferred. Knowledge of personnel, administrative and financial procedures and practices, as well as principles, techniques, terminology and procedures of sound management is required. Experience with computer business applications is essential.
