University Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Pediatric Surgical Specialties to lead our growing Pediatric Surgical Specialty Program. Position Summary
The Director provides visionary leadership and comprehensive administrative direction for all pediatric surgical specialty services. This role is responsible for strategic planning, operational excellence, accreditation support, and business development to advance the program’s mission and ensure outstanding patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing day-to-day operations of pediatric surgical specialties
Driving market development and service line growth initiatives
Collaborating with clinical and administrative leaders to improve access, quality, and outcomes
Leading care improvement and expansion projects to enhance patient and family experience
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in pediatric or surgical services
Experience in both clinical operations and business development strongly preferred
Licensure/Certification
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas preferred (for nursing degree holders)
Healthcare management certification preferred but not required
