POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for overseeing the ordering and maintaining all supplies, equipment and instrumentation used Perioperative services. Special supplies and implants are also reviewed, case cost analyzed and items ordered. The coordinator reviews the operating room (OR) schedule daily as well as reviews all supplies present in the surgery center each morning. Additionally this position manages the Par Excellence and Pyxis supply systems. Communication skills both verbal and written must be excellent. Good rapport is necessary with physician staff, co-workers, vendors, business office staff and clinic providers. Organized and good knowledge base with spread sheets helpful to assist with supply expenses and surgery inventory control. The supply coordinator works closely with the Materials Manager, Perioperative Director and Service Line Managers to assure needed items are ordered and obtained for procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED plus three years relevant experience or materials management experience is required. Experience in a stockless inventory program is preferred. A Bachelors' degree with emphasis in materials management or procurement and acquisitions is a plus.
