Logistics Technician II

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs various duties in relation to the receiving, staging, shipping and delivery of supplies and equipment throughout University Health. Follows prescribed standard operating policies and procedures for the receipt, tracking, asset tagging and safeguarding of University Health property until delivery confirmation to the appropriate responsibility center occurs. Operates and maintains motor vehicles used in transporting supplies and equipment. Operates assigned motor vehicles in accordance with applicable statutory codes and safety regulations, performs proper loading, handling, transport, delivery and unloading of supplies and equipment, at their proper designation. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Two years of college or commercial school courses related to supply chain management or materials management is preferred. three plus years of related inventory control, receiving, delivering, and movement of supplies and equipment is required. One to two years of materials management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Computer data entry wireless devices and materials management information system experience is preferred.
