POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Leads strategic medical equipment technology projects for the University Health. Leads, facilitates, assembles and manages cross functional teams to manage overall operations and distribution of resources (staffing, budgets, and outside vendor services) of the system-wide medical technology equipment support services program. Drives priorities, achieve service and quality excellence, and knowledge transfer for replication of “best practice” and influencing strategic initiatives. Coordinate activities as necessary within the Information Services division, clinical departments and vendors. Independently interacts within departmental management to assure that technology-supported functions are efficient and optimized. Assists in the development of operating and capital budgets related to assigned area of responsibility. Supervises assigned support staff. Facilitates and promotes the Health System’s mission, purpose, goals, objectives and guest relation policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field is required. Five or more years experience supporting systems as a programmer/analyst/engineer is required. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Two or more years of supervisory experience are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
