Patient Access Coordinator
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists team leaders and managers with the supervision of shift operations and productivity. Promotes team environment. Secures and obtains accurate and complete patient data for referral review, registration, scheduling, and support of the outpatient areas of Rehabilitation. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient records. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to the standards and behaviors of University Health. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to the standards and behaviors of UH.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. One (1) year of experience in general office clerical work is required. Two (2) years of Experience Preferred. Must have one (1) year of experience in a hospital/physician based practice with knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification. College or commercial school courses in business functions are preferred.
