Pharmacy Programs Manager
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for mapping current state operations, programs and services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Oversees the development and analysis of opportunities in all phases of pharmacy operations to improve safety, quality of outcomes, customer service and cost effectiveness. Develops flow charts and standard operating procedures that represent either current state and/or future state of operations, programs and services. Works directly with pharmacy personnel at all levels to gather suggestions and to formulate opportunities for improvement. Develops business plans needed for the implementation of new programs and performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director for Pharmacy Quality or Chief Pharmacy Officer.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors of Pharmacy required, Doctorate is preferred. A Master's degree in Healthcare or Business related field complete or in-process required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a operations/leadership position in a hospital pharmacy required. LEAN training preferred. Strong communications and computer skills is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must be licensed or license eligible by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a preceptor.
