Recreational Activities Therapist
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and carries out recreational therapy treatment program for patients admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit and adult inpatient units. Evaluates and treats assigned patients using professional knowledge and skills. Participates with other members of the health care team to facilitate maximum patient benefit and efficiency. Participates in and contributes to educational programs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree is required. One year of experience in an inpatient psychiatry unit or rehabilitation unit is required.
LICENSURE
Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) license required, as administered by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
