Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Clinical Craniofacial Clinic Team Coordinator leads and coordinates the development and continuous evaluation of craniofacial protocols, and provides clinical and risk assessment expertise on craniofacial patients, and family members with the direction of the associated multidisciplinary providers involved in each unique craniofacial patient case. Responsible for the overall organization, development, and designation of the craniofacial program, ensuring all aspects of care is delivered to the craniofacial patient from referral throughout the continuum of care to eventual patient disposition. Works collaboratively with patients, families, hospital staff, healthcare providers and community groups to optimize patient care and promote activities of the craniofacial center designation. Utilizes principles of program management, advanced clinical care and leadership to execute PI initiatives and education of staff, patients, family members, and community. Collaborates with hospitals and professional organizations to facilitate the development/continued designation of the craniofacial program, by assessing community needs; participating in meetings as appropriate; providing expertise in the area of craniofacial specialization; and successful navigation through the healthcare continuum. May round in hospitals on potential or existing patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree, MSN preferred. A minimum of 2 years Case Management or Coordinator experience required. A minimum of 2 years' pediatric experience required. A certification in nursing expertise is desired – or agree to work towards this level of expertise within a reasonable timeframe as expected by the Executive Director/Director/Administrator of the program.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of Texas. Current training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is required.
