Senior Executive Assistant

University Health is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Administrative Assistant to provide critical support to senior leadership within our Strategic Planning department.
In this influential role, you will serve as a trusted administrative partner, helping coordinate key organizational initiatives, supporting executive operations, and assisting with board-related activities that help shape the future of healthcare in our community.
What You'll Do
- Provide skilled and efficient administrative support and office management assistance for a senior member of the Executive Staff.
- Manage calendars, business records, payroll deadlines, travel arrangements, expense reports, office correspondence, and supply budgets.
- Coordinate and support Board meetings, public hearings, facility tours, and visits from public officials and community leaders.
- Record proceedings of public meetings and maintain historical records related to Board activities, policy issues, licensure, and long-range planning.
- Support the Policy Review Committee and oversee administrative activities associated with the development and implementation of system-wide policies.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff by assisting with customer service and patient satisfaction concerns.
- Protect confidential information and exercise sound judgment in all interactions.
- Assist with office process improvement initiatives and provide guidance on standard business software, electronic mail systems, and computer-based calendars.
- Collaborate with employees, physicians, Board members, public officials, and community stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Two years of college education or business school.
- At least seven years of experience in secretarial positions.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a hospital/medical and/or local government environment.
Required Skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to type 80 words per minute.
- Expert-level knowledge of computer business software and standard office technology.
- Strong communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise mature judgment and discretion.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to read, write, and/or speak Spanish is desirable.
