Robert B Green CampusPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a subject-matter expert and acts as a resource regarding enrollment issues. Manages the health plan application process for new and contracted/leased providers through each stage of the enrollment process for participation in all commercial and/or government payers in accordance with delegated/contractual agreements and regulatory/accrediting agencies to include (but not limited to) Joint Commission, NCQA, and CMS. Maintains and updates enrollment information on an ongoing basis in the credentialing system as well as with all payers. Updates and maintains credentialing system and department shared databases with enrollment data to ensure secure electronic storage. Manages the health plan audit process. Fosters collaborative working relationships with all internal and external partners. Shares essential updates with key stakeholders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a health care related or business management field or equivalent experience is required. Four years of experience in medical staff services in a health system is required. Working knowledge of the enrollment process is highly preferred. At least one year of process management experience is required. Thorough understanding of JCAHO, NCQA, federal, state and regulatory agency requirements is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM and/or CPCS) is preferred at employment or required upon completion of 3-years of employment for this position.
