Special Assistant to the President/CEO
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer of University Health and is charged with supporting the Office of the President/Chief Executive Officer as required and directed. The Special Assistant works in support of the University Health strategic issues as determined by the President/ Chief Executive Officer. The position provides project initiation/management, data collection, analysis and decision support efforts as assigned. Overall, coordinates efforts to accomplish project objectives by leveraging the institutional history, knowledge and expertise available through existing data and documentation, work groups and collaboration. Works to foster team-building strategies to meet organizational objectives. Serves as a key organizational resource for the identification and facilitation of projects as it relates to University Health’s strategic mission and opportunities for both the President/Chief Executive Officer and the organization. Maintains a high level of flexibility in responding to requests by the enterprise or the President/Chief Executive Officer. Handles confidential and privileged communications discreetly.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, management or related field is required. A minimum of five years’ office, administrative support experience supporting high-level executives is preferred. Experience in healthcare industry and/or local government environment is preferred. Prior experience managing activities for a Board of Mangers/Directors or senior executives is highly desirable. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, decision support systems and strong systems orientation is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of staff supervision is preferred.
