Transplant OR and Donation Services Assistant Director
University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director of Transplant OR and Donation Services maintains a professional relationship with all Health System Leadership, Health System Providers, community collaborators and customers. Maintains management responsibility and accountability for the transplant operating room functions that support the transplant services to include solid organ transplant, living donation, hepatobiliary, and CFL OR for deceased donation. Promotes University Health Customer Relation’s policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and current registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required. Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Business or Hospital Administration is preferred. Five years’ experience in nursing with at least two years in supervisor or managerial position is preferred. Experience in Solid Organ transplantation is preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION Current RN licensure in the State of Texas required. Applicable national nursing certification in a related field required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
