University HospitalPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Chief Nurse Executive, the Vice President of Transplant and Donation Services provides strategic and operational leadership across University Health in the areas of organ transplantation, living and deceased donation, surgery, and procurement services.
The Vice President serves as a senior executive leader, responsible for driving the strategic direction, performance outcomes, quality improvement, compliance, financial sustainability, and system-wide integration of transplant and donation services. This role maintains executive-level relationships with University Health leadership, external regulatory agencies, academic partners, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and long-term objectives. The Vice President collaborates with cross-functional executive teams to enhance clinical excellence, innovation, and growth in transplant and donation services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Business or Hospital Administration is Required. Ten years of experience in transplantation programs and progressively responsible health care leadership experience is required. Experience in Solid Organ transplantation is required.
LICENSURE
If applicable, current registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required.
