Application System Analyst - OPTime

University Health is seeking an Epic OpTime Analyst to support the technology and workflows that keep our Operating Rooms running efficiently and safely.
In this role, you’ll work closely with surgical services, clinical teams, operational leaders and IT partners to design, build, test and optimize Epic OpTime functionality supporting perioperative operations.

What You’ll Do
As an Epic OpTime Analyst, you will serve as a key technical resource for Epic functionality supporting the Operating Room and perioperative environment. You will:
Serve as a primary support contact for the Epic OpTime application and OR-related workflows.
Partner with clinical and operational teams to understand workflow requirements and translate them into effective Epic solutions.
Design, build, configure and test system functionality to meet end-user and organizational needs.
Analyze existing OR workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability and system performance.
Provide technical expertise and guidance related to the implementation, enhancement and ongoing operation of Epic.
Troubleshoot application and workflow issues and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions.
Coordinate and manage complex system tasks, projects, testing and implementation activities.
Support system upgrades, enhancements and new functionality.
Develop strong working relationships with OR staff, clinicians, leadership, IT colleagues and other University Health teams.
Help ensure Epic solutions support efficient, reliable and patient-centered surgical operations.
What We’re Looking For
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or another work-related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for the formal education requirement.
Ability to successfully complete the required Epic pre-assessment test.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and clinical teams.
Preferred
Experience as an Epic Application Analyst.
Experience with Epic OpTime or other Epic applications supporting perioperative or surgical services.
Knowledge of Operating Room or perioperative workflows.
Experience working in a healthcare environment.
