Program Coordinator
The Oaks IIPOSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Department Director in the implementation, management and oversight of the grant funded program Connecting Kids to Coverage. Assists with the management of all aspects of this program including program operations, reporting, program process measures, outcome measures, data analysis and program evaluation. Collaborates with local school districts and community partners to design and implement activities to assist community members to enroll in Medicaid and CHIP while ensuring initiatives employ health education methods and techniques that are developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive in order to achieve program objectives. Additional responsibilities include coordinating program activities between the community outreach specialists, external vendors, UH clinical services, and data analyst.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors’ degree in public health, health services, or related field is required. Experience in community health promotion, volunteer activity coordination, or health education in a community setting is preferred. May substitute related experience through graduate education. Master’s degree in public health is preferred. Experience in public speaking and educational presentations demonstrating effective communication skills is required. English/Spanish fluency is strongly desired.
