Lead a growing cardiovascular program across a regional healthcare system

University Health is seeking an experienced nursing leader to direct Cardiology Services across three hospitals and 10 outpatient locations. In partnership with the medical dyad, the Director will guide clinical operations, support continued growth across the cardiovascular specialty, and help ensure patients and providers have the resources and coordination they need.

This role oversees a broad and expanding portfolio—from general and interventional cardiology to structural heart, electrophysiology, heart failure, congenital cardiology, women’s heart care, and cardiovascular surgery. The Director also provides indirect oversight of productivity across the Cath Lab, inpatient services, and diagnostics.

What you’ll do

  • Direct and supervise operations across assigned cardiovascular services, partnering closely with the medical dyad.
  • Provide direct oversight of clinical operations for:
    • General Cardiology
    • Interventional Cardiology
    • Structural Cardiology
    • Women’s Heart
    • Electrophysiology (EP)
    • Congenital Cardiology
    • Heart Failure
    • Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Provide indirect oversight of productivity for Cath Lab, inpatient, and diagnostic services.
  • Lead operational planning across three hospitals and 10 outpatient locations, supporting the continued growth of the cardiovascular program.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, fiscal planning, telecommunications, equipment needs, and facility development for assigned areas.
  • Partner in physician recruitment and build strong working relationships with physicians and providers.
  • Support the growth and development of new service lines.
  • Work closely with physicians, managers, supervisors, and senior administrative leaders to coordinate priorities and resolve operational needs.
  • Apply sound management practices to support effective, efficient service delivery.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • At least five years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of personnel, administrative, and financial practices, along with sound management principles and procedures.
  • Experience using business applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word, or comparable programs.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Lean training or experience.
