Senior Human Resources Representative
Business Center 1POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative support for the University Health System benefit plans for employees and house staff. Support includes, but is not limited to, providing benefit information to employees, insuring the proper application of benefit plans, procedures, policies and programs. Works with carriers, plans administrators and third party providers in order to resolve benefit coverage and claim matters. Assists plan participants in the determination of benefit plan provisions and limitations. Works with the Retirement/Pension Analyst, assist employees, visitors and callers in a manner that is consistently courteous, professional, responsive, timely and accurate. This position is responsible for the handling and safeguarding of confidential information.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Two years of experience in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Responsible for working knowledge of legislative issues and laws that affect benefit plans administration to include Section 125/Flexible Spending Accounts, HIPPA and COBRA. PC and Windows experience to include spreadsheets and word processing competence is required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HRIS system is preferred.
