University Health Babcock Specialty Hospital

University Health Babcock Specialty Hospital will be conveniently located on Babcock Road between Hamilton Wolfe Road and Medical Drive.

This facility is set to open in 2026–2027 and will concentrate on outpatient visits and specialty care, which will create new capacity at University Hospital while expanding access to care throughout the region.

Position Summary

The Associate Administrator of the community hospital serves as a key member of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the Babcock Specialty Hospital Chief Executive Officer. 

  • This role works collaboratively with physicians, nursing and departmental leadership to achieve operational excellence in delivery of patient care usage of staffing and supply resources, and overall throughput of patients.
  • Leads planning and execution of growth opportunities to include community outreach and physician partnership development.
  • Leads or coordinates process improvements within the areas of responsibility, as well as coordinating joint opportunities among the various departments where applicable. Acts in the capacity of an Officer of University Health. 
  • Maintains management responsibility and accountability for clinical practice of nursing for multiple units. 
  • Consults and advises the Chief Executive Officer on opportunities for growing patient volume and improving efficiencies, then executes on agreeable tactics with physician and nursing partners.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
